Water and oil repellent for outdoor fabrics
ARCAFABRIC WATER AND OIL REPELLENT is a water and oil repellent product designed to protect your oudoor fabrics (terrace awnings, garden furniture, parasols, boat tarps) from water and oil stains.
Water and oil will pearl up and not penetrate the fabric treated by this water-based fluorinated resin product.
It can also be used on your work clothes to protect them from stains caused by food, beverage and vegetable oil spills (especially adapted to medical laboratories where blood stains can be a problem or in the automative industry where it is important to protect the work clothes from automotive oils.
Advantages
ARCAFABRIC can be applied on all porous fabrics:
- cotton,

- blended yarns : 50% cotton or natural fabric (maximum 50%polyester) ,
- chintz,
- linen,
- cotton canvas etc.
It will provide an efficient water repellent protection on outdoor tablecloths and linens, rugs and carpets, tents and tarps, outdoor parasols, terrace awnings, upholstery, chair pads and auto upholstery (excluding leather).
Do not apply on 100% synthetic fabrics such as polyester (not efficient).

Warning: do not apply on sofas or cushions if the cover is not removable, the product might damage the seat foam and the waterproofing will not be efficient.

Method of use
- Apply on new or clean fabric in a well ventilated area.
- Shake the applicator to mix well before applying.
- In order to test the colour fastness and any affect ARCAFABRIC will have on your material, we recommend that you apply a small amount on less visible part of the article to be treated (inside, hem, etc.) and allow it to dry before applying on the entire surface. Under normal conditions, there should be no change in colour and aspect of the material.
- Brush on ARCAFABRIC regularly over the entire surface.
- Do not wipe or towel the material to dry.
- Let dry 4 hours.
- Pour a drop of water onto the fabric. If the water pearls up and does not penetrate the fabric, one application is sufficient. If not, renew the application.
Drying time
At 20°C and 65% relative humidity: 4 hours
between applications: 1 to 3 hours (the time will vary depending on the ambient temperature and relative humidity).
OPTIMUM PROTECTION IS REACHED 7 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION. During this 7-day period, avoid washing the material. The fabric can then be washed under normal conditions at temperatures of less than 50°C. Note: the water and stain repellent performance is durable but if you keep the articles over a very long period of time, a renewed application may be necessary.
Clean Up
Clean application tools with water immediately after use
3 to 5 m2/L (or depending on the porosity of the fabric from 6 to 10m²/L)
